Sherry Ann Kerr, 54, a resident of Marblehead, MA, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Sherry joins her father, Edward L. Kerr, in heaven after his passing 21 years ago. Their family is comforted in the knowledge that they are reunited in peace and love.

Sherry was born on January 25, 1961, the daughter of Nancy Kerr-Smith of Yarmouthport, MA and the late Edward L. Kerr. Sherry was educated in the Acton Public School system, graduating from Acton-Boxborough High School in 1979 and attended Worcester State College.

Sherry went on to earn her real estate license and was a successful professional for many years. The light of her life was always her beautiful daughter, Laura Ann Kerr of Marblehead. Sherry loved Laura more than anything in the world and was always supportive of her. Sherry was quick to tell anyone of how proud she was that Laura had grown to be such a strong, independent, kind, and intelligent young lady.

Always a religious woman, Sherry was a member of Our Lady, Star of the Sea Parish in Marblehead. She was a fun-loving soul who truly enjoyed laughing, the company of caring friends, gardening, cooking, and views of the ocean outside her home. Sherry's family was a constant source of support that made her health and well-being a priority over anything else. They will cherish the wonderful memories of Sherry, and thank God for His gift of Laura Ann, who will enrich their lives for many years to come.

Sherry also leaves her mother Nancy Kerr-Smith and stepfather Laurence A. Smith of Yarmouthport, MA, sister Bonnie L. Connors (Kerr) and husband Daniel S. Connors, III of Wellesley, MA, Joan K. Newlon (Kerr) of Medfield, MA, Laura Kerr-Slattery and husband R. Patrick Slattery of Peabody, MA, and many nephews and nieces.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead on Tuesday, April 7 at 11:30AM. Cremation to follow. Visiting hours will be held at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Monday from 3-7PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Laura A. Kerr Education Fund at http://www.gofundme.com/qprjju
